Grilled cheese can be dressed up. Here’s a recipe that is sure to impress anyone. Forget just changing out the cheese, you can take this classic sandwich to a whole new level. Beat two eggs in a wide shallow bowl, and then set them aside. In another bowl, combine one and a half cups of grated Romano cheese. Spread the inside of both pieces of bread with goat cheese. Place two tomato slices onto the bread and close the sandwich. Dip the bread into the beaten egg on both sides. Let the excess egg drip off, then place the sandwich in the Romano cheese. Be sure to coat both sides with the egg and cheese. Grill in a nonstick skillet over medium heat for about 3 minutes on each side.

This grilled cheese recipe combines bacon and sourdough bread with cheddar cheese for a taste that will have you longing for a second sandwich. One quarter cup of butter and 1 cup of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese are blended and mashed together.
